I actually agree with Perga here, I have found absolutely nothing to prove that any of the new products that have become available since minox and propecia and its variants to be quite as successful and have all fallen well short of their claims.

Lets face it if they were more successful they would be widely more popular and accepted by the world.

I also feel that topical solutions is something we need to phase out... its just a poor method of delivery and I am really not sure as to why histogen is looking at offering a cream of sorts in the United States prior to releasing its actual main product, my only guess can be money and another exercise in milking the cash cow.

Propecia wasn't discovered by accident, though the hair regrowth effects in minox were.

I'm with Jacob on this too, I think there are better hair loss products than these two.

If someone would like to point out a product that is better than propecia and minox, I'd like to see it!
I haven't seen anyone post any success stories with any of these new products.

I don't mean to be a smart alec but I honestly want to know so I can start my fight.

If propecia and minox worked so well, you wouldn't see so many looking for other things to use

I've said this before..obviously I'm saying it again You won't see another FDA approved internal...you won't see another FDA approved topical...unless it blows away both minox and propecia combined. I believe something else would have gotten approval had these others not gotten there first.

Procyanidins have been shown to be as good and even better than minox. FDA approved? No. When I was using the product those studies were based on..I did see regrowth. As I did with other things I've used. I can't personally compare them to minox or propecia because I've never tried them.

fizzball I think u should give the dermaheal a try. It hasn't given me regrowth but minox and propecia never did either. Iv been able to maintain with dermaheal for eight months now and my scalp feels good.



And for histogen putting out a topical, I hope they do it soon better cause I don't wanna wait "five years"

If only dermaheal was as affordable as minox. Is it really worth over $1000/yr? At that rate you could save up for a transplant.

@Joey, the hair growing side effect of finasteride was also discovered by accident. The drug was (and still is) intended for people with prostate issues.

Hopefully I was just being over dramatic with this thread. I have been shedding pretty brutally for like a month and a half now with no signs of it letting up, but hopefully things turn around here soon.

I don't use the elsom terminals, I use a couple of different Elsom products.

I blame the beginning of this shed on starting lamas... it started out looking like a "good" shed, but it lasted a lot longer than I think it should have. I think I may have figured it out though... back when I was going good, I used to shower every night before applying Elsom... I stopped that and I think that is the source of my "bad" shed (which grouped up with the lamas good shed). I have started shampooing my head again before applying Elsom and things seem to (fingers crossed) be improving.
