I think this is the mechanism behind the laser comb/helmet (if it is done right):

"LPLI inhibits apoptosis upstream of Bax translocation via a GSK-3beta-inactivation mechanism."

It is hard to tell. Some people report comparable results already after about 3 weeks and therefore your results may stem solely from the newer batch, but we don´t know that. However, since you seem to be a responder, I think your results will improve very much in the coming months.
I am happy that you are satisfied with our customer service. I am very happy with your initial results. Since you are a responder, you have good reason to be motivated.
I am highly motivated and very optimistic. I wish I had taken some before pictures, but to be honest, I didn't expect much. I've been on minox for about 9 months and it haven't really done that much. Some thickening of the crown and peach fuzz in the corners of the hairline. But the peach fuzz now seems to be getting longer, so tomorrow I will take some photos and take new photos in july or august. Hopefully the progress will continue and there will be a noticeable cosmetic result, fingers crossed. If anything happens sooner, I will ofc post the pics here right away.

That is how it is intended to work.
Currently, still many people think Capillogain is just another Minox-product, but it isn´t.
I wish you good luck.

What would help counter this perception is if there was a non Minox version of Capillogain out there. Right now the only non Minox type products out there are Revivogen, Andalou Naturals and some other ones which are mostly sold in Europe or US and not WW.
If you get a non Minox version out people will use it, especially if it is shipped WW and is reasonably priced.
Heck, i even ordered Neogenic and Eucapil, and neither are easy to acquire with all the customs delays and what not.

This is great Synthese...Any chance to replace triaminodil with Garden Burnet Root Extract (Sanguisorba Officinalis Root Extract / fgf-5 inhibitor)? It would be great =c

Garden Burnet Root Extract is part of the normal Capillogain Tonic for the last 5 batches. Therefore it will be part of the Triaminodil free version, too.

Or do you mean we should increase the amount of Garden Burnet Extract as compensation for the Triaminodil?
I prefer to just remove the Triaminodil and do no other change to the composition in order to be able to compare the products.

Hi Synthese,

I have also experienced minoxidil sides from Capillogain.

It's really strange--I think once you develop a sensitivity to minox--any dose will give you side effects. I played around with the amount with no luck.

I would love to try the minox free version. I have two unopened boxes of the regular cap that I would like to exchange...

I had to change my username to sign in here again-but I have been a member of these boards for years. I am a woman BTW.

Thanks!!

If you have already developed a sensitivity/allergy to Minoxidil likely also very small amounts may cause you trouble.

Ohh sorry then!

I've never heard that the tonic had Garden Burnet Extract, it's not on the tonic's discription...I thought it was just the shampoo!

In this case I agree that it is prefereble to just remove the triaminodil and maintain the exact same quantities of the other stuff!

I'm too very interested in trying this version...thanks

I forgot to copy the Garden Burnet Extract text from the Shampoo page to the Tonic page.

Great news regarding the Tria-free version. I'll be dropping the original tonic for this one.

Any hints on when it might be avaliable? A week or more like a month?

As usual, I appreciate your activity in this thread, SyntheseLabRat.

With people being hyper sensitive to Minox, I hope there will be no cross contamination in the factory. I'll give it a try though, sounds very nice.

Been using this for approaching 3 months just on the vertex and nothing to really report at the moment in terms of results. Unfortunately my initial order was from the batch with the problems. Have been sent replacements which I have been using for a week o so. Will use for another 3 months and see how things progress

I'm still waiting for availability in Australia...

A few questions for SyntheseLabRat:

You mentioned a while ago that FGF-5 inhibition would eventually make its way into the topical. I'm not too fond of the idea of a shampoo (that is likely to come into contact with my skin outside my scalp) containing triamonidil, and I have more faith in a product that's left on than one I'm going to wash off pretty quickly, so this sounds like it would be great. Do you know when that's going to happen?

You've also said that the concentration of triamonidil in the topical is very low, currently 0.5%. But on the ingredient list, it's actually fairly early on, which I would think implies that most of the other ingredients listed are at concentrations below 0.5%, and not much of them is actually in the product. I know that there's research demonstrating the benefits of most of these ingredients for hair loss, but how can you guarantee that the amounts of these ingredients are high enough to have any effect? Personally, I'd rather see a few really effective ingredients at beneficial concentrations than tiny amounts of ingredients that don't reach their full potential for benefiting hair.

One last thing that's not really related, but since you seem to know a lot about the potential of plant extracts and the like in hair loss, I thought you'd be a good person to ask. I was wondering if you were familiar with Eclipta Alba:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18478241
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19481595
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17524127

Seems really promising, but it's been a few years and nobody has tested it on humans or even made a topical. Any thoughts on whether it would be useful?

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19481595
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17524127

Seems really promising, but it's been a few years and nobody has tested it on humans or even made a topical. Any thoughts on whether it would be useful?
The FGF-5 inhibitor is already in the Tonic.

Please understand that I don´t want to discuss our concentrations in public. The Tonic works so the concentrations are fine. You can´t tell the concentrations from the INCI list since below a certain concentration one isn´t bound to list the ingredients in strict descending order.

I know these articles on Eclipta Alba and it is on my list for a possible additional product.
However, thank you for the hint.

Hey Synthese,

I emailed the address you gave me about my issue with having minoxidil sides with capillogain.

I also sent a message about it when I placed an order for the shampoo.

I haven't heard anything back. I mentioned my forum name and this site.

Any help you can provide?

A belated Happy Easter 8)

I was going through my shampoo inventory and it'll be a good 6 months before I can switch to Cap's. So I guess I'll stick with the topical...at least a few times a week.

I think i'm getting the 'tired, dry eyes side' other people have mentioned. Had it for a while. Didn't connect it with the Capollogain at first but reading around looks like it there could be a link. May have to keep off it for a few days and see how things go. Only really use on the vertex and recently on the temples/hairline and don't cover the scalp

I'm not suggesting anyone isn't getting these "side effects"..but one has gotta wonder if "minoxidil" had never been mentioned when comparing the ingredient..if ppl would still be experiencing them. With such a small amount of the active in the product..and it being encapsulated(even minox encapsulated has been shown to enter the blood less), if encapsulated right...it just seems odd. But then again all it takes is a piece of peanut to send certain folks to the hospital :-s

BTW..I'm definitely going to stick with the topical, if even just for a few times a week as I said above. I'm finally seeing a bunch of new growth..so anything I'm using topically as well as internally, I'm going to stick with well into the summer.

Ah, I think the ingredient list on your website is out of date, then. I was basing my question on that, where I don't think it's listed.
Please understand that I don´t want to discuss our concentrations in public. The Tonic works so the concentrations are fine. You can´t tell the concentrations from the INCI list since below a certain concentration one isn´t bound to list the ingredients in strict descending order.
That's fair enough, I'm not asking you to disclose any specifics. I do question the logic that "the tonic works so the concentrations are fine", though, because some ingredients may be working while others are not. Or at least, they might not be at the optimal level, but this is difficult to know without more research on a lot of these ingredients.

it looks like a small amount of people ho have had sides with minox are having sides with cpaillogain. just a small amount.
in my honest opinion i think people are applying way to much as well. i only apply to the hairline only and have been applying since the last week of novemeber still have a lrage amount!

Of course it is possible that some people may show some kind of allergic reaction.
However, sometimes people tend to blame a topical for everything which may be just coincidence.
I don´t know what exactly people mean with "tired eyes". Sleep deprivation or drinking too little before going to bed causes me tired eyes for example but the next day it is gone when I drink enough. But again, there are many ingredients in Capillogain and of course it is possible that some people have a sensitivity to one or the other ingredient.
Maybe the version without Triaminodil will be an alternative for them.

Yes, the list was out of date but I updated it recently.

What I mean is, the results should be all that matters to you. We are not tossing together ingredients with useless concentrations. All ingredients are at an effective concentration. Not just because it works but because of the studies and calculations I did in advance. Remember, we did not do this "try and error" thing like many other companies do for many years; Capillogain Tonic worked with the first batch! This is because I did good research and calculations in advance, although I don´t like the word "research" in this context since the biggest part of the research was done by the scientists who wrote those publications. In the past I made the mistake to explain too much in the forums which helped our competitors and I don´t want to repeat that. Believe me, I would love to tell you more now and I am certain it would convince you but it would be a strategic mistake for us and it is not worth it since in the end the results should matter for you. Also, very often the reaction of people to my explaining texts are like this: "Just words, for us only results count." ...

I am happy to hear that you start to see results, too.
I know that you fight hair loss for many years now, you may respond a bit slower than others who have a shorter hair loss history.
But from some reports we know that good results are possible even after many years of hair loss.

Hi

Just registered, new user! I had genetic pattern male baldness and atm I am using lipogaine and KERATENE alphactive Retard capsules, I am in a strong shedding stage (1month started recently) but the reason why I am writing here is to ask,

If I to switch to your product, which one should I buy? and will it help (hopefully)have the ability to create density?? and can it be used with Keratene?

Kind Regards,
Abror

I believe I'm still seeing solid progress, but unfortunately I'm currently out of cap and still waiting for the the new bottles to arrive. So far I've been without cap for 5 days, it seems it's taking a bit longer than usual to arrive. Hopefully it will not have any negative impact on the results I've gained so far.

Update - 3 months treatment.

Well nothing much to say, no visible hair regrowth for the moment. Shed hair do not seems to regrowth for the moment... I will still use it for 3 months and give a last update.
But I do belive it makes exisiting hair grow faster, and thicker. No harsh or alergic reaction as for now. However, maybe sligh headachs can happen from time to time but dry eyes have disapeared with the good batch.

What is considered the good batch? Until this past week I was using batch 312002. Now I'm using 312003. Experienced some shedding but no regrowth. I'm in my 3rd month. Just added shampoo batch 5120001.

I used the bad batch for 2 months and the good one for a month.
But the bad batch wasn't supposed to not work at all. Maybe a bit less efficient, but still, it was using exactly the same ingredients.
Anyway, I was shedding on the wrong batch so defenitly something was happening...

Only the Tonic batch with the Losnr. 312005 had a consistency problem.
Any other batch is fine.

That depends on what you have used before.
For example, stopping Minoxidil also causes shedding.
