Belgravia Centre

Postby Sonali » Thu Apr 21, 2005 3:26 am

I'm based in London, and have been warned off going to the Belgravia trichological centre for treatment, with stories of hard sell tactics and overcharging. Has anyone used the centre, and if so, what has their experience been?

Thanks very much

Belgravia is a waste of time and money, find a good dermatologist. Trichologists are not doctors.

I agree with Dod. Only see a dermatologist for treatment. Do not believe any advertisements that promise hair growth.

I couldn't help but look at this post in complete confusion. I've been a patient at the belgravia centre for years and am more than happy with their services. I've never once felt that they have tried to force me into anything. Everyone is extremely friendly and they've always given me the option to do what I want without any pushiness.

I use their minoxidil 4% and am thinking of using Belgravia's hair supplement hair vitalics. I have experienced slight itchiness and soreness from minoxidil and they've advised me to try the hair vitalics instead (or in addition).

Hope an opinion from someone with first-hand experience helps

Hi all,

Apologies for the late posting on this topic, but when I noticed this thread I thought it was worth relating my own experience of Belgravia.

I visited the Belgravia Centre earlier this year, as I was losing quite considerable amounts of hair.

However, my experience of Belgravia was negative and very stressful. They are essentially salespeople posing as medical professionals, with heavy-handed and dishonest sales tactics. I would advise anyone to be extremely cautious when visiting these so-called hair loss clinics, even if they appear professional. Many of these practitioners do not have the credentials they claim to have. If you commit to a pricey treatment plan with Belgravia, there are no guarantees it will work, and there is no option of recovering your money later.

I was so concerned about the practices of the Belgravia Centre, I even wrote a blog detailing my experience to alert fellow hair loss sufferers. I am now something of an expert on the subject. If you're considering treatment with Belgravia and wish to know more, my advise is don't part with a penny until you've read my account of the belgravia treatment.
