sudden loss of clump of eyelashes
I am a 47 year old female & I do not wear a lot of make up. Mascara probably once a week. About a few weeks ago I noticed a clump of eyelashes missing from my left eye. I have no other symptoms & it does not bother me, but looks very weird. Have you heard of this & will they grow back??
The most common cause of the loss of a small section of your eyebrow is alopecia areata. This is a genetic condition where the bodies immune system attacks the hair follicle. It is not a dangerious condition - it only represents a cosmetic problem. When localized, it responds very well to injections of cortisone.
