Is Minoxidil Really Effective
I have seen no before and after pictures of any user that was impressive (could get the same results by restyling the hair). Also, on the actual directions it says hair regrowth with continued use has not lasted longer than 48 weeks. Does this mean how long a hair will be maintained or new hair intially formed. In other words, a hair lasts between 2 to 6 years normally but this one will only last 48 weeks or that for the first 48 weeks new hair growth and then no NEW hair after that but new growth will be maintained after that.
Thanks
Minoxidil was the first fda-approved medication for hair loss. It works in over 80% of men and about 70% of women who use it properly and consistently. Remember that the main goal of ANY non-invasive therapy is to maintain what you have. Most patients tend to forget that the hair loss process gets WORSE with time without treatment. Treatments like Propecia, Minoxidil and Laser Therapy help protect the hair you have--this means that if hair is "dead and gone" it will not work. To put it in simple terms: In the hair loss process, most people have some hair that is good, some hair that is weak and some hair that is gone. Non-invasive treatments work to enhance the hair that is 'weak' and protect or enhance the hair that is 'good.' Transplants work to restore hair that is alreay gone.
You need to continue ANY non-invasive regimen if you want to maintain the results.
Good Luck.
Sincerely,
