hair loss
I am 24 years old, and I have had lots of hair all my life. Everytime I get it cut I have to thinned out it. Recently about 4 months ago, I noticed my hair started shedding. I didn't think anything of it. I thought it was from styling hair. I started becoming concerned when I noticed everyday great amounts shed, particularly in the shower.
I one day saw on the news about excess amounts of Vitamin A leading to hairloss. I have taken over the recomended amount for over 7 months(for control of acne)and didn't reall have any serious hair shedding. However I did notice rashes in spots appear on my arms, and severe skin dryness.
I recently stopped the excess intake of Vitamin A (retinyl), it's been a week now, but my hair is still shedding. I feel like I am going to go bald.I also notice my scalp beginning to tingle, and itch a little bit.I am afraid this could be serious. Do you know what could be causing this and what I can do about this?
Hard to say, I would suggest a hair loss genetics test, go to HairDx for more info,
