Women Hairtransplant
Hi Doc,
I am 32 year old female and I need to know if i am the right candidate for the hairtransplant. Is there roughtly how to know if i am the candidate by looking at the hair by myself.I have been to many dermatologists at my place(6 at least) and none of them can tell me if i have FPB or am i candidate for the hairtransplant. There is no see thru yet but my hair mostly thinning on the crown/vertex which i like to fill in if possible.Most people think i have no hair problem by looking at my hair coz its look normal on left side and back but i guess only me know how my hair thinning on top. My family has a strong history of balding and thinning (father, mother and brothers.I noticed that my three brother have a different pattern and one of them even have diffuse pattern. My mom has thinning hair especially on the crown and its very slow until now at the age of 68 only that i can see the bald side.currently i am taking minoxidil and my hair now less shedding(less than 50) compared to 200-300 hair 10 months ago after stopping contraception pill.

Determining if you are a good candidate for any hair restoration treatment or procedure starts with a visit to a board-certified hair restoration (ABHRS.org) physican who specializes in female hair loss. You need to ask what percentage of women your doctor treats... for example, 50% of all of our patients are women. We offer non-invasive treatments as well as hair transplantation. Most patients will need a combination of treatments to reach their hair restoration goals. Some need only non-invasive therapy. Personally, I prefer to use the least-invasive treatment that achieves the patient's results.
