laser comb
Hey Dr. Bauman,
I'm 26 from New Jersey and your father has been my dentist for about 10 years. when i was in his office last he was telling me about the laser comb. My hair is still thick at the crown and every where else except my hairline has receeded a bit and is thinning out. I where my hair short with the front up and i can see through my hair when its up when i never used to be able to. can the laser comb thicken my hair at my hairline and at all restore the line i used to have. i tried taking propecia but i had some side effects and rogaine seems a bit to sloppy for. I guess this would be my last resort. Thank you for taking the time to read my question.
Kevin,
Laser therapy is a good option for those who want to enhance and protect their hair. Laser therapy has been shown to improve the quality of hair growth without side-effects. There are many different devices for applying laser therapy to the scalp--some better than others. For many people, improving the hair caliber (thickness) can significantly improve coverage. Unfortunately, however, if the hair density is severely depleted, you might need a more invasive option to achieve your goal.
Email me at doctorb@baumanmedical.com to request a complete evaluation. We can discuss what the best treatment options are from there.
Sincerely,
Dr. B. (Jr.) !
