Woman with High Forehead but No Hair Loss
I'm not sure if you will be able to answer my question, but here goes anyway... I'm a 22 year old woman with a hairline that starts approx. 2.5 inches above my eyebrows. I do not have any hairloss, simply a high forehead. In general, do doctors do hair transplant procedures on people with high foreheads (and no hairloss)? I would want to lower my hairline slightly, maybe a quarter of an inch. Also, if this procedure is do-able, is there any type of going rate? I know it would depend on the procedure and the patient, but - for example - is there any going rate for getting hair graphs? I'm very curious and would appreciate any feedback. Thank you!
Joanie,
Hairline lowering requests from women are quite common in my hair transplant practice. Hair transplants can be used to lower the hairline, as long as we are using the proper technique and artistry. There are many examples of female hairline lowering procedures for women on the website www.baumanmedical.com that you can view. Also, we can now use a minimally-invasive technique called Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) with NeoGraft to transplant hair follicles without leaving you with a linear scar in the back of the scalp.
The first step would be a comprehensive consultation, which can be easily started by emailing me at doctorb@baumanmedical.com--to see if you would be a good candidate for the procedure.
My staff and I are looking forward to helping you with your female hairline lowering request.
Sincerely,
Dr. Bauman
