temperal pattern receding hairline
What is the best treatment for a receding hairline at the temperal area? I'm not experiencing hair loss or thinning in any other area. But above my ears my hair is receding at a high rate. This is creating a narrow strip of remaining hair toward the front of my head. Thanks
Phillip,
Stopping the hair loss is the first critical step. This requires prescription treatment with Propecia. Propecia is safe, effective treatment, stopping hair loss in 5 out of 6 guys and regrowing some visible hair in 2 out of 3. However, frontal loss is typically not reversed with propecia alone. Usually, frontal hair loss requires some degree of hair transplantation in order to re-establish the location and density there. What is your age?
Let me know if there is any way we can help you.
Sincerely,
Dr. B.
