Shedding
I loose between 15-30 a day especially after taking a shower. Is this normal? My hair grows fast but since my late twenties I one day notice that after a shower that I would see fifteen hairs or so. I \'am forty years old and concerned if my hair lose in normal? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Mike,
Hair shedding is a normal part of the hair cycle. 10 to 15% of your hair is in the telogen phase at any one time. This means that you shed a large number of hairs each month as they go into the telogen phase, and at the same time a large number come out of telogen phase and start to regrow. So as long as your hair is not thinning, then don't worry, it is just undergoing the normal cycle.
