Hair loss
I am 62 ys. old and have very thick hair. It happened the other day that the sun was shining on the arm of my couch (where I usually sit) and I noticed all this hair clinging to the material. It looked to me like there was just too much for it to be ok..
Then I noticed some on my bathroom floor. So I swept all my floors and there was quite a bit of hair in each room. Scared me to death. I still have quite a lot on my head but if I run my fingers through my hair I will have 8 to 10 strands between my fingers. It is not localized.
I don't know what could be causing it and hope you may be able to give me some answers. There are receding hairlines on the males in my family but my mother died with a full head of thick hair. Please help.
Hi Connie,
Diffuse hairloss at age 62 could be a sign of a systemic problem. Please see your doctor for a consultation and blood work,
