Itching and dandruff

Question

Im 22 and have had a bad dandruff problem which seems to be somewhat better after using nizoral shampoo for some time. My head still itches where my hairline is receding, and I was wondering Does DHT plays any role in this? Also how effective is propecia on the frontal hairline? my hairloss has been going on slowly for maybe 3 or 4 years but is still unnoticeable. Thanks for your time helping.

Dear Joe, There is no study that has shown that DHT has any role in Seborrheic Dermatitis. Additionally, Propecia has not done any good study for patients with frontal hair loss. But from my experience Propecia is effective for the frontal hair line, but takes longer for the results to show.
