MY BOYFRIEND
Hi. My question is for my boyfriend. Hes a 20 yr old with no major hair loss in his family. About 2 years ago he put Liquid Nails (glue) in his hair to make it spikey. Almost immediatley he noticed his hair was falling out in the front and caused him to have a receeding hair line in the front and very thin in the middle. the rest of the head is fine thick and healthy. Eventually he shaved his head and found that seemed to help the hair grow a tiny bit. About six months ago he started using Rogaine for about 3 months this also caused little new white hairs pop up where the hair had fallen out. However these hairs will not grow any longer than just a little and they will not strengthen, you can brush your hand across it and they'll fall out. So im wondering if anymore treatment to the area will help or the next step should be some sort of transplant and regrowth, because the Liquid Nails glue just KILLED his hair. Thank you for your time and I hope you can give some sort of advice. Until then he still believes that shaving it and using Rogaine will eventually help. Thank you again.
Unlikely that permanent nails destroyed the follicle. Be patient, it will come back,
