hair loss
I am a 37 year old female and recently had my third child in September. December 17th I noticed my hair starting to shed when I would shower or run a wide comb through it after showering. It has not let up since and now I notice my forehead line to look as if I have baby hair from where my hair has come out. After my first child in 1996 I lost some hair but it was right away after delivery it was not several months after. I went to my doctor and he tested my thyroid and it came back fine and he told me to give it a year and see what happens- well I honestly do not want to wait that long. Any suggestions or ideas of blood work I could have done or type of doctor I could be referred to.
Thank You!
Hi Diane,
It is not unusual to lose some hair after a pregnancy. Before you panic, wait at least one year. In the mean time get some minoxidil 5% from your doctor, it will help bring the hair out of a telogen phase,
