Dr. Jones is among the first physicians in North America to add micro follicular unit extraction (FUE) - scalpel-free hair transplants to his practice. He has been practicing from his hair transplant center in Oakville (near Toronto) Ontario for many years, but since he started using the micro follicular unit extraction technique he has become a leader in the field.

Minoxidil treatments
Hello,
I have had some minor female hair loss and used Rogaine for women for a few months and then discontinued use. I didn't notice any real improvements which is fine because the problem wasn't that bad. I understand (and everything that I read) is about how when you stop use, you lose what you have gained. That doesn't concern me. What DOES concern me is something that I recently read that Minoxidil actually makes the hair follicle dependent on the chemical for growth (in other words kind of shutting down the normal ability to grow hair even from a healthy follicle that absorbed the treatment).
Could this be true? I would grealtly appreciate an honest answer.
Thanks!!
Hi Lynn,
I don't think that using minoxidil makes the follicle dependent. I have heard this as well but studies do not show this,
