Totally lost....
Dear Alex,
Since a couple of months ago, I noticed my hair thining out rather quickly. I'm 23 yrs old, and without ANY heriditary hair loss history on either side of the family, female or male. What I noticed is that not only my top and front scalp hair is falling, but also all body hair has been very weak and falling. Also, when I look at the hair that fall out, I see that the white bulb at the end is still present, which I was told is not the case with heriditary hair loss. I also sense itching of the scalp areas where the hair fall out. I did blood and urine tests, all normal. Went to 2 dermatologists, with no specific answers. So, naturally, I'm totally at loss. Some help would be appriciated as I'm starting to worry a lot.
Arek,
Since you have hair loss both on your body and scalp, you may have alopecia areata. You need to see a dermatologist whom specializes in hair loss to diagnose your problem before you initiate any treatment.
