Hairloss and seborhea derm
I was diagnosed with seb derm. I have no history of MPB that i know of. My hair is definately diffusely thinning, and i have small baby hairs right by my eyebrows so obviously my hairs are being miniturized with DHT having a role. Ive noticed itchiness is right where my hair is thinning the most such as temples, crown, and in the last year the frontal hairline. I have white dandruff when i itch my head but hair comes out with it. Is this just dandruff combined with MPB? should I use an antiandrogen Im confused and the derm said that hairloss is a subjective thing to diagnose. It was up to me he said. With no history of MPB im not sure what to do. Any advice?
Dear Joe,
You are most likely experiencing MPB and Seborrheic Dermatitis. You should treat and control the Seborrheic Dermatitis with topical shampoo and steroids and get started on an anti-DHT treatment like Propecia or Avodart or Revivogen.
