Dosing Finasteride

Hi Dr. Jones: Just wanted to get your thought on this... If Finasteride has a half life of 8 hours, would it not be better to dose daily twice with 0.5 mg than merely once with 1 mg to give a longer lasting effect. Or would this not make a significant difference? Thanks Rick

Hi Rick, Finesteride is usually taken daily, but there is now some evidence that it can even be taken every other day. The dht suppression to the hair follicle seems to last 48 hours! Dr. Robert Jones
