If I were a candidate for a transplant, would I experience fall out of healthy hair around transplanted hair as a side effect? I also wonder if it is likely that transplanted hair in women with diffuse thinning would also fall out at some point in ones life? Thanks.

Answer

Hi Lisa, Shock loss does occer in some cases. It always grows back. The transplanted hair lasts your whole life Dr. Robert Jones
