How many FUSS strips....
Hello --
Can you provide me an honest answer.
I have had 3 hair transplants where the strips of hair from the back part of the head have been removed equating to about 5500 grafts. I am fortunate to having a good donor area. There is a chance that I may continue with this procedure as even with the advent of medications for hair loss -- MPB continues..
So -- how much skin and hair can taken out from the back with not compromising skin elasticity.
I imagine it is not a good idea to take tooo much tissue from the back resulting in too much tightness!!

"Tightness" is ususally not the issue, as long as you wait long enough between procedures. You see, after a harvest, as long as you wait long enough, the skin elasticity typically returns to very close to 'normal.' The main concern is that with each harvest, the donor density drops slightly, so each subsequent harvest contains slightly less hair. Make sense? Typically, most of my patients (even with extensive hair loss) can be completed in 2-4 sessions on average. Let me know if you have additional questions.
