Types of Hair loss
Dr. Khadavi I have question are there different types of hair loss. The typical hair loss, is loosing the hair at the temples and recedes. I am about to turn twenty one and a couple of years I hav e noticed that my hair on the top of my scalp isn't as thick as it use to be. Now I was worried that I was going bald. My cousin who was a general physician who himself started to go bald, when around 20, said that even though your hair on the top of your head is gotten less. He said the main thing to look for is when you take a shower you should have a lot of hair in your hand, when your are washing your hair. I do have a few hairs like around 3 or four but nothing more than that. I have noticed that. I am not showing typical male pattern baldness. And I was wondering whether there is another type of male pattern baldness. That occurs very, very , very slowly. Also another cousing told me that stress from college could cause hair loss, which he was suffering from when he was in college but after college his hair came back. I also noticed that when I started to suffer from depression, my hair started to become less. I was wondering is it to early right now to tell If I am loosing my hair, or is other factors. And just to be on the safe side could I try rogaine. Also non of my uncles on either side of my family are bald and my dad is not bald either.
If you have thinning over the top of your scalp which is not in patches, you are experiencing male pattern hair loss. You do not need to have massive shedding. Stress has nothing to do with it. If you do have it, you should consider an anti-DHT treatment like Propecia or Revivogen.
