Eyelash transplants
Dr. Bauman:
1.What would the cost of the surgery be ranging in?
2. Is there an age minimum? (I'm 20yrld)
3. How often do you need to trim the lashes after the procedure?
4. I have really thick scalp hair would my lashes be as thick?
Eyelash transplant surgery is $3,000 per lid for up to 30 lashes implanted/lid. Many patients finance the procedure. The characteristics of your scalp hair predicts the characteristics of the implanted lashes. In other words, thick & curly scalp hair results in thick, curly lashes. Most women are trimming their lashes after transplantation around every 6 weeks or so, but it depends on the rate of hair growth. I don't perform cosmetic eyelash transplants on patients under the age of 21, unless they have experienced some sort of traumatic injury.
