Dutasteride and Areata
I'm 8 months on dutasteride 0.5mg/day and minoxidil 5% fighting MPB. The last month I notice facial hair loss in small patches on my beard. I went to a doctor and he told me I have alopecia areata. So he gave me a cortisone cream (Mometasone Furoate) and he told me to use it in with minoxidil 5% on the patches. I told him about my regiment against MPB but he didn't tell me anything or he didn't connect it with alopecia areata.
Is it possible Dutasteride be the real reason for my alopecia areata? Should I quit using Dutasteride?
Thanks a lot...
Dutateride has not been linked to Alopecia Areata. This should not cause you to discontinue Dutasteride.
