Acne and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
Hi there, i came to learn about you on the Tyra Banks show. I'm 28yrs old from London UK and was diagnosed with PCOS when i was 22, i have never had acne, but was curious as to why all of a sudden i had a break out. I have tried everything and anything on the market, but absolutely nothing works. Please can you help.
Dear Nadia,
PCOS may initiate acne at an early age or later on in life, but associated with cystic lesions particularly on the jawline and around the mouth. PCOS is associated with irregular production of the hormone by-product called DHT. Clearogen is the only topical treatment that will reduce DHT levels and therefore help treat your acne topically. If you chose to use an oral medication, you may want to have your doctor prescribe spironolactone or Diane 35.
