Question

I'm taking Avodart and am a postmenopausal female.I know that the drug company has not done trials on females.Why haven't they and how long can one stay on this drug? Do you think it will be effective?

Answer

Katie, Avodart is a dht inhibitor and therefore not recommended in females. I would not recommend it, Dr. Robert Jones
