What role does sebum play in mpb? When i was about 12 I had very bad dandruff and oily scalp problems. I also have always had acne that never went away. I kept all my hair until I was 20. How is sebum related to DHT or isnt it?

Answer

Increased sebum product is a direct result of increase DHT production. DHT stimulates the oil gland to produce increased sebum. There are a large percentage of MPB patients with dandruff, but the scientific relationship has not been fully evaluated.
