Thinning on one side

hi I was on finasteride for 7 years but 3 years ago i had to stop for financial difficulties. But for 3 years now , i suffer from thinning hair in one side, the right side...I do not see any hair loss (only normal hair loss) but my right side is thinning inexorably. So i decided to be on finasteride again 5 months ago...my hair getting thinner and thinner... From your experiment did you constate this on others people? do finasteride make hair thinner if discontinued and is it reversible? Thanks it s very difficult for me

Answer

You should give the medication 6-9 months to fully evaluate its effects. The effect of finasteride will not wane with re-initiation of use.
