Products for Temporary Hair loss
Hi doctor
I've been diagnosed with temporary hair loss (TE) for about 5 months now. I'm still shedding about 80 hairs when I shower and probably 30 hairs when I don't. I feel like I've lost about half of my hair.
The hair loss is all over my head and I'm not seeing much growth on the front of my head. I was wondering what products I could use to help kick start my hair to grow.
I don't want to take rogaine or products like that because I don't want to have to take it for the rest of my life and also because I want to see if my hair growth back on it's own.
I was thinking about other products or shampoos that were proven to help stimulate hair growth.
I heard that nizoral shampoo might be a good choice. I was wondering if you though this product would be good for someone suffering from TE. Also, are they any side effects like increased shedding for the first few months or any other side effects about this product?
Lastly, is there any other product or supplement that you would recommend for someone in my situation?

Dear Mark,
What has caused your TE? Was this diagnosed by a dermatologist? The only treatment that I recommend for TE is minoxidil.
