Lubna M.M. 2006-05-11
18 and hairloss
My name is Lubna M.Munawar and I am 18 years old. I have been experiencing acute hair fall since the age of 12, six months after I reached my menarche. My hair started to fall gradually and we thought it was normal and didnt take much notice. But after a couple of years I could feel that my scalp was becoming visible. My mother took me the Dermatologists and most of them use to give Hair Vitamins, a Cleansing Shampoo and a Hair Lotion as medication and they also asked for a complete blood analysis and through which we found out that I was Anaemic. From that day I started using the medication which the doctor had given me and I used it for 1-2 months, I really didnt see any improvement and discontinued it. There were many such instances that we had been consulting dermatologists and received the same medication above.
At the age of 13, I got my haemoglobin level checked and it was 6.5. After that again I had it checked at the age of 16, it was 8.0. And then I got married at the age of 17 and from then on, me and my husband started to ms that I was having i.e. my hair fall and my haemoglobin level. We did many tests like Free Testosterone, Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), Zinc, Total Iron Binding Capacity, Prolactin and etc. Below are the results of the tests conducted a year ago.
Free Testosterone 3.1pmol/l
Dihydrotesteosterone (DHT) - 0.61nmol/l
Zinc 795 ug/l
Free T4 0.87ng/dl
Free T3 2.66 pg/ml
Immunoglobin E Total (IgE) 8.4 ku/l
Prolactin 16.06NG/ML
Estradiol 151PG/ML
Testosterone 0.29ng/ml
Serrum Ferritin 11.21ng/ml
Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC) 417ug/dl
Bilirubin, Total 0.2mg/dl
Protein,Total 8.5g/dl
Albumin 4.76g/dl
Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) 30mm/1 hour
Full Blood Count:
Leucocyte(WBC) 5.1 10^9/L
Erythrocyte (RBC) 4.5 10^12/L
Haemoglobin 11.5g/dl
Haemotocrit (Hct) 37.3%
MCV 83.6fl
MCH 25.8pg
MCHC 30.8g/dl
Platelets 202 10^9/L
After doing all these tests, still we are not able to figure out the reason for my hair loss. One more thing that I think should be brought to your notice is that my mother too is getting bald partly. She is using Rogaine now.
Would it be safe for me to use your product and what are the consequences like How long will I have to use it?
Do you have your iron levels, ferritin or TIBC?
