Accutane Frontal Hair Loss at age 46
I had a 4 month course of accutane in 1986. In 2003, I replased & completed a 6 month course but at a low dose. I relapsed yet again 4 months later at the age of 45. I doubled the dose to 80 mg a day for 7 months. I have been off Accutane since January 2005 but began noticing some frontal thinning about 2 months ago. Could this be a reaction to the accutane & will my hair grow back? What can be done to either arrest the problem or to spur regrowth?
Accutane is more associated with diffuse thinning of the hair, but may have unmasked your male pattern hair loss. Is the pattern of hair loss similiar to male pattern hair loss?
