Saw palmetto's function in Revivogen
Hello Dr., why is saw palmetto in revivogen? I have read that its not effective in MPB or FPB but was wondering if you have studies that show it to be effective. If not then why is it in there? thanx
Saw palmetto by itself has an insignificant amount of active ingredients to inhibit the binding of DHT to the hair follicle which ultimately results in miniaturization and hair loss. Revivogen contains high concentration of Saw Palmetto active ingredients which include Beta-Sito-Sterol, Phytol and Ethyl Laurate to obtain the maximum amount of DHT blocking. Saw Palmetto Extract by itself contains less than 1 percent of these actives.
Additionally, Revivogen concentrates these active ingredients in a Follicular Delivery System to obtain maximum scalp concentration without dilution within the rest of the body.
