Beta Sitosterol
I read that Saw Palmetto taken orally can help with halting hair loss and achieving growth. Also, I read that the active ingredient in Saw Palmetto is Beta Sitosterol. I am currently taking 120mg of Beta Sitosterol per day. Do you think this will have the same effect as taking large quantities of Saw Palmetto for hair loss and growth? Lastly, do you know if taking Beta Sitosterol for years can be problematic? Your answers are highly appreciated. Thanks!
Beta Sitosterol is the active ingredient and is used in Revivogen. Taking 120 mg daily will do very little because only a small proportion reaches the hair follicle as it is diluted in the blood and other organs. The best method is direct application to the hair follicle using a delivery system like Revivogen has.
