Question Topic

Minoxidil Recovery w/ Revivogen & Propecia

Question

I used Rogaine and Propecia for 4 months, and then due to a minor scalp surgery, backed off the Rogaine, and never picked it back up. 3 months after stopping the Rogaine, I experienced really bad shedding in all the areas I applied it(which weren't bad to begin with!!). I am considerably thinner in all these areas, and know it is all the Minox-dependent hairs falling out. I have been on Propecia the whole time, and have started using Revivogen 5 weeks ago. I am seeing little hairs start to sprout back up, but my question is will the hairs that fell out because of the Minox dependency (but were good strong hairs to begin with) grow back if I stay off the Minox? Again, I was only using it for 3 to 4 months. Can the continued use of Revivogen and Propecia get that hair back? These are hairs, that I'm pretty sure would not have fallen out had I never used Rogaine in the first place (I only had slight recession at temples, but have shed from cown to hairline where I used the Rogaine to "maintain" the hairs!!)? My slight recession has taken years to get to where it was, and now two months of shedding has sent me into visible baldness. Please tell me they'll come back, even if it takes a year! I just don't want to have to go back on Rogaine! Thanks, I really like your product, and the fact I can slow it to 3-5 times a week after 1-1.5 years! Alton

Answer

The hairs that have been shed after stopping minoxidil will grow back, but may take 6-9 months. It is a good sign that you are noticing little hairs regrowing while using Revivogen. Revivogen has anagen phase growth stimulators to restimulate these hairs into the growth (anagen) phase. Therefore continue your regimen and keep me updated on your progress.
