Acne medication hair loss
Hello Doctor
I took an acne drug called accutane for several months and now I have been experiencing hair loss all over my head.
The hair loss covers all parts of my head including the sides of my head and the back. I have hair everywhere but it has been thinned out due to the hair loss.
I have had continued hair loss for about 8 and a half months. I do see some new hair growth, but the hairs that are growing seem to be thinner than my natural hair, and they seem to fall out at around the 1-3 cm stage.
My question is, in your opinion, will these thin and short hairs eventually become thicker and grow longer?
Also, what type of time period am I looking at before I start to see some improvement.
