Topical Dutasteride in Ethanol
It's well known that type 1 of 5a-reductase is located in the sebaceous glands. Steering a type 1 inhibitor like Dutasteride topically into the sebaceous glands could significantly reduce 5-AR and caspase activity. So isn't logical to use topical Dutasteride (for example in an ethanol solution as penetrative vehicle) against AGA?
Thanks for your time...
Dear Chris,
If you where able to deliver Dutasteride to the hair follicle you will probably have a benefit for AGA. But I am unfamiliar with the delivery of Dutasteride in ehthanol solution. You may want to contact Glaxo or a biochemist to get the best delivery method.
