laser comb
Hey Dr. Bauman,
I'm 26 from New Jersey and your father has been my dentist for about 10 years. when i was in his office last he was telling me about the laser comb. My hair is still thick at the crown and every where else except my hairline has receeded a bit at the temples and is thinning out. I where my hair short with the front up and i can see through my hair when its up when i never used to be able to. can the laser comb thicken my hair at my hairline and at all restore the line i used to have. i tried taking propecia but i had some side effects and rogaine seems a bit to sloppy for. I guess this would be my last resort. Thank you for taking the time to read my question.
Kevin, Thank you for your email. Laser therapy is certainly a good option if you are not going to be using the FDA-approved medications, like Minoxidil(Rogaine) or Finasteride(Propecia). There are a few different lasers 'out there'--each with different pros and cons. Personally, I prefer the rechargeable, cordless type, like Sunetics LaserBrush or the Erchonia THL-1. We prescribe and dispense these lasers through the office in Boca Raton, Florida. If you were able to come in to the Florida office, you can have some density and hair caliber measurements performed as well as some baseline photos taken. Email me directly at doctorb@baumanmedical.com if you want more information on these lasers. I look forward to helping you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Bauman (Sr.)
