Dr. Jones’ hair transplant Feb 20th

Posted on Friday 24 February 2006

Hello,
Four days ago I had my second hair transplant. I had my staff put 1200 grafts into my hair line to add density to my temporal angles and in behind my frontal forlock. Please find before photos, photos of the procedure as well as after photos attached.
I am running a marathon in Big Sur on April 30th so I was anxious to get back to running. I managed a 5k walk tue (24 hours post-op) and a 10k run yesterday (3 days post-op). I hope to do a 20k run tomorrow.
I resumed sexual activity 24 hours post-op. I have been married 29 years and haven’t turned it down yet, so I wasn’t about to start on Tuesday!
I played poker with some friends Wed evening and had a few beer (and lost $38)
We are out at a party tonight, and I will be able to cover up th crusts with a bit a toppik.
I am amazed at how little this procedure interferes with your life.
Stay tuned for updates,
Dr. Robert Jones

Dr. Jones, thanks for sharing this experience with us. I was wondering what kind of density you are expecting. From the last photo it looks to me like spacing between follicular units is fairly wide. Are you planning on having another transplant to get density at some other point?

And who actually did your transplant?

    Thanks in advance

In the front the density is about 40 grafts per cm sq. I think I’ll wait 6 months to see how this helps and go for more as I see necessary,

At that density you probably aren’t going to need another transplant to thicken things up. I can’t wait to see the final results here!

    Hi Sam,
My transplant was performed by my staff. Most of my staff have at least 5 to 10 years in the hair transplant business, so they have incredible expertise and skills. I have complete faith in them,
    Dr.J
