17 days post-op

Posted on Thursday 9 March 2006

I am now 2 weeks and 3 days afer my 1300 graft transplant and completely back to normal activities. I am running about 40 miles a week as well as some Yoga and tennis. My head is still a little numb on top and I have a little shock loss, but I know the sensation and hair next will return in the next few months. I have started to use my new product, available on my site, as well as my own personal shampoo and conditioner. These will all be available through my site over the next couple of weeks,

Hello,
I just had my stitches out, so I’ve taken a photo of the donor and recipient sites.
I feel fine, ran 16k and played tennis yesterday. I am still amazed how easy this procedure is, not really that big a deal to go through.
As mentioned before I did a tricho closure of my scar. I plan to buzz my hair down to a #1 in the summer to show how the scar has healed,
Stay tuned,
Dr.J

Hello,

I am now 6 days post-op and feeling great. I ran 20k yesterday and 10k today. The crusts are 75% off and the donor scar is dissappearing quickly. I go under the shower for 10 minutes 3 or 4 times per day to wash off the crusts and clean up my scalp. I am amazed at how easy this procedure is.

The photo posted is 5 days post-op.

Dr. Jones’ hair transplant Feb 20th

Hello,
Four days ago I had my second hair transplant. I had my staff put 1200 grafts into my hair line to add density to my temporal angles and in behind my frontal forlock. Please find before photos, photos of the procedure as well as after photos attached.
I am running a marathon in Big Sur on April 30th so I was anxious to get back to running. I managed a 5k walk tue (24 hours post-op) and a 10k run yesterday (3 days post-op). I hope to do a 20k run tomorrow.
I resumed sexual activity 24 hours post-op. I have been married 29 years and haven’t turned it down yet, so I wasn’t about to start on Tuesday!
I played poker with some friends Wed evening and had a few beer (and lost $38)
We are out at a party tonight, and I will be able to cover up th crusts with a bit a toppik.
I am amazed at how little this procedure interferes with your life.
Stay tuned for updates,
Dr. Robert Jones
