I've been using Kankho 600 (from Clive Clinics in New Zealand) for several years now with pretty decent results (virtually stopped my hair loss, or slowed it ~90% at least). However, I'd like to try adding something a little more potent to their mixture of Azelaic Acid, Zinc, B6, and fillers (Takanal, Polysorbate 20, etc.). I was thinking Dutasteride would be a great additive as it is soluble in Ethanol, which is Kankho's main ingredient.
I know absolutely nothing about compounding or creating a custom concoction like this so I'm hoping someone else who knows much more than I can clue me in as to how effective this might me, and if effective, how to do it and where to get the Dutasteride.
I read where Dutasteride is easily dissolved in Ethanol at 44mg/ml, but I have no idea how many mg’s of Dutasteride I should add to the bottles of Kankho?? The bottles I purchase contain 175ml overall, which usually last me about 6 months using it only at night. That calculates out to about 180 applications, of which I’d want to get at least 1mg of Dutasteride per application, so I guess I’d need ~180mg of Dutasteride. Again, this is all just a best guess from someone who knows absolutely nothing about this.
Anyway, I'd love to get some feedback on this, if it’s possible or just a pipe dream. Thanks!!

PS Just so you know, I’ve tried pretty much everything else already going back about 12 years to when I was 19: Topical Minoxidil for a few years (1993 – 1997) until it stopped working, Propecia (1999-2000 I think), which caused a pretty bad hyperandrogenic response, Xandrox (2000), which did absolutely nothing, Dr. Proctors solution (2000-2001) until it pretty much didn’t do anything as well, and was about to give up on it all until I stumbled across Kankho 600 (200 or 400 at the time I think). I’ve been using it since 2001 and can only thank God for it’s effectiveness. I’m not growing all of my hair back, but the persistent march up my scalp has been significantly halted, for which I am very grateful. Back in 2000 or so I was worrying that I’d be a NW 3 or 4 by the time I was 30. Luckily, however, I’ll be 31 in just a couple of months and I’m still hanging onto my NW2 status
