I use topical sprio lotion 2% (by Dr. Lee) as a part of my regimen. I apply it every other day, wait 10-15 minutes till it dries and then apply minoxidil 5%. I am pretty consistent with it but the odor of the spiro, after the minoxidil application it terrible. I am single now, but can't imagine how my future partner will bear it
So...I decided to add a few drops of essencial oils into my minoxidil solution first to disguise the marcaptan like odor and second maybe even to gain properties of thes essencial oils. I add 3 drops of Lavender (soothing effect and anti inflammatory) 3 drops of tea tree oil (anti inflammatory and maybe a DHT reducer like ketokonazole) and Rosmary oil (disinfactant, and believe to stimulate blood flow). This small amount of essential oils desolves and desperses very well in the alcoholic base of minoxidil, and won't react with minoxidil or the other components of the soluction. I have to say that it does win the spiro smell!!! Try it too!!
As for the therapeutic properties it's still early to know. I will let you know in the future!
