I'm 26 (m) and have had quite a far back hairline for as long as i can remember and it has been receding very slowly over the last few years but has recently speeded up following MPB and i have lost more than 0.25inch over the less than 3 mnth and its kinda caught me by suprise.
My father still has a full head although also a far back hairline (~ Northwood III), im not sure if my fathers father lost his hair but my cousins on that side of the family started to loose their hair quite soon in life.
Just a couple of questions you might be able to answer from your collective experience.
Is this/a rate of loss generally consistent?
My scalp has began to feel slightly itchy (no noticeable skin irritation) over the last couple of weeks, is it worthwhile using t-gel or something like that or would it be worthwhile seeing my doctor?
I have also heard that some shampoos have an effect on DHT and may reduce help the negative effects of DHT on the follicle. Is this true, what brand shampoos if it is?
It is unlikely that I will use specific medication to combat hairloss but i would consider using a specific shampoo if something available (i have to wash my hair most days anyway), i think im gonna have to come to terms with the fact that some have it and keep it and some dont!
Cheers for your help
